this was a SUPER fun shoot--monkey bars, bubbles, giggles and babies-to-be! since we took these pictures mama gave birth to a healthy little girl. (they didn't find out the gender in advance, so this was a welcome surprise!) of course this meant they didn't have a name picked out either-but mom said the only word that came to mind to describe this little one (other than love!) was "bliss."
we met at Lake Benson on a Sunday afternoon and got some of everyone--mom all by herself, family shots, candids of their son and ones of just the couple. such stunning people!
and, one other fun part of the day--a little girl at the park in her stroller was AMAZED by the bubbles. she had never seen them before! it was such a great moment seeing her awe and excitement at the floating orbs! (bubbles are one of my favorite things, ever, and as a child, they sparked my interest in science)
Dallas Area Mini Photo Shoots

This 4th of July weekend I'll be travelling to Dallas, TX to shoot Jarrod and Leanne's wedding! Fireworks, fun and Texas food, what more could you ask for?
The morning of Friday, July 3rd I'll be up bright and early for my first out-of-state mini-photo shoots. They're 40 minute sessions for $40--that includes the portrait time and a cd of the finished images to print as you wish, though print options are also available. I'll be doing portraits/engagement pictures/kids pictures, etc on site in the Dallas/Frisco/Garland/Farmers Branch/Plano area or wherever you'd like!
If you're in the Dallas Area and you haven't visited before, please go check out my website to see what I do. I'll be there to take pictures of your whole family, just your kids, everyone including the dog, all in your front yard, at the park, etc. I do engagements, headshots, maternity, newborn photos--whatever type of portraiture that you need!
Spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis and the shot location(s) will be determined based on interest. If Friday doesn't work for you, send me an email and I'll see what we can do to meet your needs!

shannon and I visited downtown chapel hill and unc's campus for this shoot, and she was all about the details--check out her awesome leopard heels!
after our time in downtown chapel hill we visited a local pool hall. she plays pool competitively and wanted to get images from start to finish--putting together the cue, racking the balls, breaking--you name it, we probably photographed it!

greenfield lake city park, wilmington, nc
I was captivated by the light and shadow and color at this park! And the birds were amazing--they would be sitting calmly at one end of the lake and then all of a sudden there were hundreds in the air, flying together and weaving in the air to arrive at another part of the lake. simply breathtaking. enjoy!
