[art prints and portraiture, with a focus on moving life]

mom l, dad a and baby j

this cute little trio came out to celebrate baby j's sixth month! is she super-adorable or what? she was such a precious little one to shoot!

this is baby j and her dad's little trick--such a good balancer!

and she's crawling so well!

her grandmother got her this snuggly little bear, so it had to make a cameo!

the whole family

pretty pretty

snuggles

one with each parent and little miss alone!

and a fun one for the finale!

it was such a pleasure working with you all--I look forward to future shoots!

colleen & mark, connie & rick, emily, megan and sammy

whoa--been a while since I last blogged! I've been spending pretty much every free second editing, editing, editing. sorry for the hiatus!

we had a great time on this hot and sticky sunday afternoon! the two women here are sisters, and they wanted family pictures, plus some of each of them with their hubbies and some of the three little girls. such cuteness!

the whole gang!

so sweet!

such love...

they were so energetic, too! I laughed a lot, and that's always a sign that a shoot is going wonderfully!

you can see more of their awesomeness as one of my "cream of the crop" albums. check them out!

vincent, saba, arman and adam

this session was a mother's day gift to Saba, what a thoughtful present!

beautiful sunny weather + happy, loving, smiling family = happy Carrie. :)

I loved Saba's skirt. And how the guys all had on blue shoes, which coordinated with the skirt. The boys were so agreeable and loved the bubbles (which aren't on here, but trust me, we had 'em!)

They were a referral from one of my other fabulous clients (thanks again!) and it was a pleasure working with you!

cute!

check out those color-coordinated kicks!

their handsome sons

I love it when people laugh!

mom and the boys

we had fun getting these!

and such a good looking family!!

janice, dakota and murphy

I've already had the pleasure of photographing janice and murphy before--and they were a HOOT. This time there's a new dog in town--dakota--who is a calmer, bigger doggie with awesome eyes and who loooooves his mama.

there weren't any slides or swings this time, but duke gardens was SO pretty!

unfortunately it was HOT that afternoon, and the doggies were not interested in keeping their tongues in their mouths. personally I think it's that big tongue that makes this picture extra cute!

cuddles.

LOVE that close-up on the right. dakota is a very photogenic doggie.

c collins mini-photo shoot

C was all about getting these photos for her modeling portfolio--she had some great ideas and we were able to get just what she needed at the beautiful Duke Gardens.

LOVE these flowers.

it was a beautiful sunshiney day

ready for her close up!

more of the awesomeness!

hot!

It was great to work with someone who loved being a model. :) good luck with your modeling aspirations, C!

bryans-riley wedding: the preview

y'all this is the hardest part of photography: deciding which pictures to blog. okay maaaayybe not, but still. :)

so, this is the wedding I shot in the mountains this weekend. It will be a little while longer before I'm done with all the images, but I wanted to share a few teasers in the interim 'cause I just.can't.wait.

this couple was simply fabulous. enthusiastic. and in looove. totally precious and such a good time. I had a rockin' time at this wedding and I was the photographer--so you know the guests had a blast!

at the church they sat in chairs up on the altar. it was just gorgeous, this church, beautiful wood and fantastic lights. more church to come, let me tell you!

sexy shoes and sassy but simple bouquet. love it!

look at that bling! and love the purple.

just married!

and this bridal party was outrageous and awesome. they were game for anything.

this is at the reception at the Mountain Lodge in Flat Rock--they have this cool waterfall behind their building--it's an amazing backdrop for photos. the rest of their venue is smashing too, and I can't wait to show you those either! see, I told you this part was tough!

dave, misty and evan

misty and I are sorority sisters, and we have known each other pretty much since I moved here six years ago, so it was a special delight to get to photograph her with her husband dave and their little boy evan. evan wasn't too keen on the whole photography thing--he really just wanted to sleep--but he was still such a little trooper!

the handsome couple--hot stuff!

such love.

laying in the grass...

I saved the best for last. This is by far my favorite picture from the entire shoot. And their favorite too. What a beautiful family!

It was such a pleasure, Misty and Dave!
